I am a compassionate, results oriented electrical engineering professional with over 20 years of experience covering multiple industries including industrial tools, third party product test and certification, medical device manufacturing, consumer electronics, and specialty communication systems. My technical expertise is in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) engineering and regulatory compliance, and I have a proven track record of guiding product development teams towards achieving best in class, cost-effective, compliant solutions and enabling global market entry. I founded Lagwaves due to a belief in the power of simulation in the product design process, as I have found simulation tools to be a worthy ally in my previous roles. With the exponential growth of cyber-physical systems and Industry 4.0, the usefulness of simulation will only increase. ACADEMIC HISTORY
I earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus in RF/Microwave engineering from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, where I also worked part-time as a lab assistant in the Microwave and Microelectronics Laboratory. My Senior Design Project titled “Analysis and Design of a Microstrip Patch Antenna”, marked my initial exposure to computational electromagnetics using 3D Full Wave Modeling and Simulation tools. I spent a number of years working in roles of increasing responsibility at various companies and gaining specialized experience in solving EMI/EMC issues before going back to earn a dual master’s degree in electrical engineering and engineering management from the University of Southern California.
